Our mission: To provide quality training and career enhancement for the purpose of strengthening the child care workforce by offering programs and services built on standards of excellence.

Our history: National Academy for Educators and Caregivers® (NAEC®), established in 2003, is dedicated to offering professional development opportunities that use state standards as a guideline in preparing exceptional workshops, seminars and ongoing educational training programs within the child care industry. The trainings and workshops are designed to cover a myriad of subjects that offer comprehensive and enlightening educational advancement to each course study.

NAEC® Accreditation: NAEC® has received its New Jersey State provider number (#5410) and has the unique opportunity to provide the coursework necessary to meet state requirements for the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Director’s Academy and various professional development classes.  Over the past year, NAEC® has trained more than 1000 adults for job and growth opportunities for various child care centers within its local market.

NAEC® entered into partnership with Kean University in 2006 with the goal of developing and offering high quality programs that will have a major impact on the child care industry.  Child care professionals have the opportunity to attend NAEC®‘s courses on Kean University’s college campus located in Union, NJ.

Quality Consultants: NAEC® maintains the highest standards of excellence throughout our consultant selection process.  We look for strong references, high moral standards, knowledge gained from education and experience, and of course, a passion for developing others.  Backgrounds include advanced degrees in education, formal training and previous teaching experience.

Every member of our team completes a thorough application and screening, and undergoes a 90 day training period complying with NAEC® standards and practices.  The training period includes both classroom observation and hands-on interaction at our classroom located at our NAEC® Headquarters.

New staff are observed and evaluated through interaction with students and rated on their ability to carry out the NAEC® mission and philosophy.  Only the most qualified and capable applicants are selected and are then closely monitored and evaluated.  NAEC® consultants are required to participate in continuing professional education and training as well as ongoing evaluations.
